The JH Track Team had a strong showing at CPS on Monday afternoon, bringing home 12 medals and setting 9 new Personal Records (PRs)! Boys Highlights: Dominick Stonecipher took 1st in Long Jump with a PR of 15’11.5” and placed 2nd in the 100m Dash with another PR of 13.66. Tanner Miller placed 2nd in Long Jump with a PR of 13’10”. Dustin McGrath earned 2nd in the 55m Hurdles with a PR of 10.14, and 2nd in the 200m Hurdles with a PR of 32.42. The 4x200m Relay Team (Dustin McGrath, Tanner Miller, Owen Williams, and Dominick Stonecipher) ran a PR time of 2:01.29, earning 2nd place. Girls Highlights: Fiona Phillips placed 1st in Long Jump with a leap of 12’11”, earned 3rd in the 100m Dash with a time of 16.06, and set a PR in the 55m Hurdles. Macy Polega claimed 2nd in the 1600m Run with a time of 7:11.45. Julia Polega earned a PR in the 800m Run. Emily Deacons set a PR in the 400m Run. Everyone gave a great effort against tough competition from across the league. The Warriors are back in action this Wednesday at Harbor Beach. Go Warriors!
