Game 1: North Huron 9 Potterville 19 Landon Mergucz collected three hits in four at bats, but North Huron lost to Potterville 19-9 on Saturday. North Huron lost despite out-hitting Potterville 15 to eight. Mergucz and Jett Zimmerman each collected three hits for the Warriors. Mergucz took the loss for North Huron. The left-handed pitcher went two innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking two. The hurler surrendered five hits and two runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. North Huron piled up 15 hits in the game. Griffen Schipinski drove the middle of the lineup, leading North Huron Varsity Warriors with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Kaleb Brandt-Antoszewski and Grant Hyzer each collected multiple hits for North Huron Varsity Warriors.
