Game 2: North Huron 17 Akron Fairgrove 2 Griffen Schipinski drove in four runs on two hits to lead North Huron past Akron-Fairgrove 17-2 on Monday. North Huron jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Schipinski doubled, scoring two runs, Jett Zimmerman drew a walk, scoring one run, Grant Hyzer singled, scoring one run, Wesley Kosinski grounded out, scoring one run, Landon Mergucz hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Owen Mellendorf singled, scoring one run, and Schipinski singled, scoring one run. The Warriors scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning. Cailum Hewitt drew a walk, scoring one run, Jacob Koroleski singled, scoring two runs, and Zimmerman singled, scoring two runs. Schipinski earned the win for North Huron. The starter allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking two.. Logan Prill appeared in relief for the Warriors. North Huron accumulated 12 hits in the game. Mergucz led with three hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Koroleski collected two hits for the Warriors in three at bats. Mergucz stole two bases.
